About Me

Armando Pico’s passion for photography began at the age of 10 when he built his first camera out of a cardboard box and a roll of 110 film. After graduating from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, his career as a photojournalist took off earning him 19 Emmy Awards in just 17 years.
With a cinematographic resume that includes the royal wedding of the prince of Spain, he has filmed major international news events for network television. In his extensive travels, Armando honed his photography skills capturing the people, landscapes and architecture that make each spot on the planet unique. Combining his keen interest for visual arts and music along with his news experience, Armando applies his photojournalistic style to all special event cinematography and photojournalism creating a unique product that captures your special moment for eternity. The images speak for themselves.

Epic Hotel Miami Wedding Cinematography / Cheny and Yamill

A Pico Studio just wrapped up another top notch wedding at the Epic Hotel in Downtown Miami. Yamill and Cheny chose this ultra modern hotel as their wedding ceremony and reception venue. Everything turned out stunning… of course, details were carefully handled by one of the best event planners in Miami, Eric Trelles. Yamill and Cheny actually met at the age of 14. He was a football player and she was a cheerleader. Despite attending different schools, they are still going strong and now living their dream in their new home as newlyweds. Church of the Little Flower, Hotel Colonnade Coral Gables Wedding Cinematography – Maria & Nicholas

Maria Cristina & Nicholas said their “I do’s” in a beautiful ceremony at the Church of the Little Flower in Coral Gables. The couple first got ready at the Hotel Colonnade in Coral Gables, where they returned after the ceremony at the Church of the Little Flower for their gorgeous reception. The Addison Boca Raton Wedding Cinematography – Stephanie & Eddie

We recently had the opportunity to film this amazing wedding at The Addison Boca Raton. Stephanie & Eddie first got ready at the Hyatt Hotel in Coral Gables, and said their “I do’s” at St. Ramon Catholic Church in Coral Gables as well. The Addison Boca Raton was a beautiful venue for Stephanie & Eddie’s reception. We took advantage of the gorgeous patio and rustic look for some “eye-candy” shots. “You’re the Best Thing About Me”, out of U2’s new album, was the perfect song for this wedding trailer. Enjoy!!!

Mayfair Hotel in Coconut Grove Wedding Photography / Nina & Benjamin

The Mayfair Hotel in Coconut Grove was truly the perfect wedding venue for Nina and Ben’s intimate wedding ceremony and reception. It turns out that I had the pleasure of working with Tessy, the bride’s mother more than 20 years ago, and little did I know that I would have the privilege of photographing her daughter’s wedding. Nina and Ben met 10 years ago at the University of Florida. After graduation, they both went to law school and now they live and work as attorneys in New York City. These love birds tied the knot on the 10 year anniversary of their first date. They chose to trade the cold winter weather for sunny South Florida for their wedding and what better place than the Mayfair Hotel in Coconut Grove. Thank you for letting us be a part of such a special day. We hope you can cherish these photos for generations to come. W Hotel Miami Wedding Photography / Lina & Pedro

This gorgeous wedding at the W Hotel Miami in Brikell, had one of the most elegant wedding decors we’ve ever photographed. Lina & Pedro said their “I do’s” at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in the Roads, where the bride was walked down the isle by her beloved sons. The reception was held at the 50th Floor rooftop and lounge of the W Hotel Miami in Brickell, with a beautiful view of Miami’s sunset. We took advantage of the breathtaking sunset and natural light for some dramatic portraits. Big shout out to Lourdes from Lourdes Milian Productions, and all the other vendors that made this wedding run without a hitch.
