About Me

Armando Pico’s passion for photography began at the age of 10 when he built his first camera out of a cardboard box and a roll of 110 film. After graduating from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, his career as a photojournalist took off earning him 19 Emmy Awards in just 17 years.
With a cinematographic resume that includes the royal wedding of the prince of Spain, he has filmed major international news events for network television. In his extensive travels, Armando honed his photography skills capturing the people, landscapes and architecture that make each spot on the planet unique. Combining his keen interest for visual arts and music along with his news experience, Armando applies his photojournalistic style to all special event cinematography and photojournalism creating a unique product that captures your special moment for eternity. The images speak for themselves.

Connie & Gio’s Deering Estate Wedding Movie Trailer

This beautiful Deering Estate wedding was full of raw emotions. Once best friends, now they tied the knot. Connie & Giovanni met almost 6 years ago, and although it was not “love at first sight” according to Connie, Gio told her “one day I’m gonna marry you.” After becoming best friends for a while, Gio surprised Connie with a kiss one day. The rest is history. Connie always dreamt of having a beautiful outdoor ceremony at the historic Deering Estate gardens facing Biscayne Bay, but due to the unpredictable weather in Miami, rain made the outside ceremony impossible. Although the event coordinators quickly sprang into action and moved the ceremony indoors, which still turned out beautifully, we offered the couple to come back to the Deering Estate on a bright and sunny day and film them in the gardens as she had always dreamed about. We hope you enjoy their wedding movie trailer as much as we enjoyed putting it together. Monika & Ben’s Beach Wedding Photography

This Doubletree Sunny Isles wedding photos have been some of our favorite ever. Monika, originally from Czech Republic and Benjamin from Germany, met in the airport in Chicago on September 2011. They were both waiting to board a plane to Germany. Once inside, Monika realized that Ben managed to get a seat right behind her in the plane. Ben now only had about 8 hours to work his magic and turn a spontaneous meet n’greet into a long-term relationship. They decided to host a destination wedding in Sunny Isles, Florida with close family and friends. Many of them flew from Europe to attend the beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony. They were a wonderful couple to work with. Thank you for choosing A Pico Studio. We hope you enjoy the beautiful images we captured on the beach. Hi friends, just a couple of weeks ago we shared some of our favorite photographs from Rosmery & Mark’s beautiful intimate Brazilian Court Hotel wedding in Palm Beach. Rosmery and Mark’s relationship is quite unique. After being together for several years, Mark decided to pop the question in front of Univision’s hidden TV cameras during lunch at Coconut Grove’s Cafe Lulu. Rosmery had no idea what was going on, but was pleasantly surprised with a gorgeous diamond ring and before she knew it, their love story made it to Despierta America and the local newscast. Just a couple of weeks later, they tied the knot in a very intimate outdoor ceremony at The Brazilian Court Hotel in West Palm Beach. Their closest family and friends witnessed the beautiful wedding and had the time of their lives at the reception. We’d like to thank you for letting us be a part of this special day. Wedding bells finally rang for these college sweethearts… Daniella & Jonathan. They tied the knot in a very intimate ceremony at St. Hugh Catholic Church in Coconut Grove. Some family members of the groom traveled from Cincinnati to see these lovebirds on their wedding day. We took advantage of the beautiful clear night to snap some great portraits of the couple on the streets of Coconut Grove. The ceremony was followed by a reception at the Mayfair Hotel & Spa in Coconut Grove. Friends and family of Daniella & Jonathan danced the night away.
