About Me

Armando Pico’s passion for photography began at the age of 10 when he built his first camera out of a cardboard box and a roll of 110 film. After graduating from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, his career as a photojournalist took off earning him 19 Emmy Awards in just 17 years.
With a cinematographic resume that includes the royal wedding of the prince of Spain, he has filmed major international news events for network television. In his extensive travels, Armando honed his photography skills capturing the people, landscapes and architecture that make each spot on the planet unique. Combining his keen interest for visual arts and music along with his news experience, Armando applies his photojournalistic style to all special event cinematography and photojournalism creating a unique product that captures your special moment for eternity. The images speak for themselves.

Gold Coast Railroad Museum engagement photos / Damaris & Marcelo

We once again had the chance to photograph an engagement session at the Gold Coast Railroad Museum in Miami. Damaris and Marcelo, whom we’ll be also photographing and filming their wedding later this summer, were looking for a location that offered unique indoor and outdoor settings. This fun and adventurous couple had been friends since Junior High, but after graduating High School their lives went on different paths with Damaris going to medical school and Marcelo joining the military and later being deployed to the Iraqi war. Almost 20 years later a mutual friend helped them reconnect and soon after they began catching up over the phone, since Marcelo was now living in Texas. Soon after Damaris decided to travel to Texas, and after 19 years they saw each other again. It didn’t take long for them to realize that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. Thank you for letting us capture this day for you and we hope you enjoy these images.

Rusty Pelican Wedding Videography / Catherine & Cameron

We recently posted Catherine and Cameron’s wedding photography. We also had the pleasure to film their wedding and reception at the Rusty Pelican in Key Biscayne. Catherine & Cameron got ready at the Mayfair Hotel in Coconut Grove, where we staged and filmed a candid “pre-ceremony” card exchange, without the couple ever seeing each other. The wedding ceremony was held at St John Neumann Catholic Church, followed by a gorgeous reception at the Rusty Pelican. Thank you for letting us capture this special day.

ISABELA & JEAN PAUL WEDDING TRAILER

This unique Church of the Little Flower, Coral Gables wedding was one of the most beautiful nuptials we’ve ever filmed. These high school sweethearts met back when they were only 10 years old in Sunset Elementary. After dating for 8 years, Jean Paul popped the big questions to Isabela at the same place they went on their first dates at the Shops of Sunset Place. One year later Isabela and JP tied the knot in a gorgeous ceremony at The Church of the Little Flower, and a spectacular reception that followed at the Omni Colonnade in Coral Gables. Last year we also had the honor of filming JP’s sister, Katerina’s wedding. It was a true blast to have been able to capture yet again another Sanchez Family wedding, and we hope you enjoy their wedding trailer which also includes some great drone shots. I wanna send a big shout out to all the great vendors that made this dream wedding come true.

St John Neumann Catholic Church Wedding / Catherine & Cameron

Catherine and Cameron met in college. They started off as friends communicating many times through social media, but over time, they realized they were made for each other. Catherine is originally from New York and Cameron is from Miami, but now, they finally share one home as husband and wife in Philadelphia after tying the knot at St. John Newman Catholic Church in Miami this August 8th. We photographed their wedding preps at the Mayfair Hotel in Coconut Grove. The wedding ceremony was followed by a fabulous reception at one of Miami’s popular locations, the Rusty Pelican. Aillette & Anthony Engagement Photoshoot

For a long time we’ve been wanting to photograph an engagement session at the old Gold Coast Railroad Museum in Miami, but hadn’t found a daring couple to take the plunge. Aillette & Anthony were the perfect match and accepted our retro-vintage idea and take their engagement pictures at this awesome place. They dressed perfect for the occasion and I even brought one of my vintage cameras to do an “old school” selfie. I know we were suppose to share these engagement pictures before the actual wedding, but we’ve been beyond swamped.
