About Me

Armando Pico’s passion for photography began at the age of 10 when he built his first camera out of a cardboard box and a roll of 110 film. After graduating from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, his career as a photojournalist took off earning him 19 Emmy Awards in just 17 years.
With a cinematographic resume that includes the royal wedding of the prince of Spain, he has filmed major international news events for network television. In his extensive travels, Armando honed his photography skills capturing the people, landscapes and architecture that make each spot on the planet unique. Combining his keen interest for visual arts and music along with his news experience, Armando applies his photojournalistic style to all special event cinematography and photojournalism creating a unique product that captures your special moment for eternity. The images speak for themselves.

Gabriella & Sergio l Wedding Movie Trailer l Four Seasons Hotel, Miami

This week we’d like to present our latest wedding movie trailer… Gabriella and Sergio, a couple crazy in love with each other. This was truly a fairy tale wedding, full of emotion. The greatest part of the wedding was its uniqueness. The groom decided to do something unimaginable… He secretly took guitar lessons for several months prior to the wedding in order to serenade his beautiful wife on stage at the reception. The bride and groom exchanged vows at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral and later partied with hundreds of guests at the Four Seasons Hotel. The decor was amazing… lots of elegance everywhere you turned, from the sign in table to the centerpieces and delicious sweets table. Every detail came together perfectly thanks to Eric Trelles, the wedding coordinator. Gabriella and Sergio, we would like to thank you for allowing us to capture such an unforgettable day. May your love live on forever.

Preciosa & Alejandro’s Wedding Photography l St. Patrick’s Church, Miami Beach, FL

Wedding bells finally rang for these high school sweethearts… Preciosa and Alejandro. They tied the knot in a very intimate ceremony at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Miami Beach. Some family members traveled from Venezuela to see these lovebirds on their wedding day. We took advantage of the beautiful clear night to snap some great portraits of the couple. The ceremony was followed by a reception at the Coconut Grove Women’s Club. Because of their Venezuelan heritage, the newlyweds brought an authentic Venezuelan band to the party and also did “La Hora Loca”… guests truly enjoyed this and the bride danced the night away. Preciosa and Alejandro, we’d like to thank you for letting us capture your special day. The love and emotion between the two of you was evident every minute of the night.

Catherine’s Quinces Photography l South Pointe Park, Miami Beach

Today we’d like to share a 15’s photography shoot at South Pointe Park with Catherine. She came to us about three weeks before her 15’s party to shoot her photos but actually has a history with us. Catherine’s cousin happened to hire us for her 15’s as well, and after seeing our work, Catherine decided she wanted to have the same quality photos for such an unforgettable event in her young life. Despite being somewhat shy, Catherine really worked it before the camera. We decided to do something similar to a fashion photo shoot, while still keeping it young, playful and classy. We chose South Pointe Park in Miami Beach since it has the best of both worlds… beautiful green areas and the crashing waves.

Catherine, it was a pleasure working with you and your family. Your big party is right around the corner, and there’s no doubt it will be a success! Hope you enjoy these photos.

Andrea + Armando’s Wedding Photography l Grove Isle Hotel & Spa

I’m sure many of you have been waiting to see wedding photos of myself and my new wife, Andrea… Sorry for the delay, but between the honeymoon, holidays and more wedding and engagement photo and video shoots, we’ve been quite busy. Three months ago, on November 6, 2011, Andrea and I exchanged vows. It was truly the greatest and most unforgettable day of our lives. Since I couldn’t play the part of groom and photographer, our excellent team of photographers and videographers helped make all things fall into place.

Andrea and I both woke up to a spectacular view of Biscayne Bay from our hotel rooms at the Grove Isle Hotel and Spa in Coconut Grove. We were truly blessed to have a gorgeous weather day… It was quite breezy, but still perfect for an outdoor ceremony. The ceremony was followed by a portrait photo session at the beautiful venue… and later we partied and enjoyed every minute of the night in the main ballroom, which has a beautiful view of the water. We would like to thank our photographers and videographers, Carlos Barquin, from Barquin Photography, Javier Uria, Gabriel Alonso, Gino Reyes and Edwin Aragon, for capturing such amazing photos… We will treasure these for life. We’d also like to thank Christian Sarquis, from the Grove Isle Hotel and Jessica Masi, our wedding planner from JCG Events, for making all things look flawless, and Mario, from Belle Fleur, for creating such amazing flower arrangements. Thank you for all your patience through this long journey!

Preciosa + Alejandro’s Engagement Photography l Midtown and Coral Gables, FL

The new year has kicked off with one photo shoot after another. Our team most recently worked on an engagement photo session with Preciosa and Alejandro, a beautiful couple that’s been together since high school. It’s great to capture images of a couple that’s been together for so long… they were so loving and comfortable in front of the camera. We really wanted to snap photographs of Preciosa and Alejandro simply enjoying a casual afternoon… laughing, kissing, having a drink, and enjoying a bite to eat. Since they have a passion for trying out new places to eat, we really wanted to incorporate that into their engagement photo shoot. We started the day off at Midtown and later headed to the Village of Merrick Park. We hope you enjoy their wonderful love story. We’ll have much more of them at their wedding which is right around the corner.
